Vagina Bras

Such was the overwhelming desire to create that whilst sitting breast-feeding my child I took a pair of scissors to a defunct bra and cut it into it to create a vagina shaped slash. From this beginning I developed the idea into three distinct sculptural works using three slashed bra cups some with their straps still attached. This use of the mundane, everyday objects that contain, through personal use, something of me has an appeal and by casting my bras, no longer of use since the change that has occurred in my breasts since giving birth, into bronze sculptures I have converted the everyday into an object that has acquired both beauty and value.
